INSTRUCTOR'S SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Damjan Cingarski is born in 1978 in Skopje. Finishes high school in Skopje in 1997, and enrolls at the faculty of architecture in Skopje the same year. At the moment he is at the last year of his studies.
Martial arts involvement:
In September 2000 he starts training "Real Aikido" (martial art created by Ljubomir Vracarevic from Serbia and Monte Negro, which besides the name has very little in common with Aikido). Through his improvement in this martial art he begins to be interested in Aikido and in April 2002, curiosity takes him to the first aikido seminar in Novi Sad, Serbia and Monte Negro held by Michele Quaranta sensei from Switzerland (Aikikai appointed shidoin in ASCA). Seeing the difference and feeling the true nature of Aikido he abandons "Real Aikido" (despite the achieved green belt i.e. 3rd kyu) and decides to dedicate himself to Aikido and to start allover again. At that period of time there are only two dojos practicing Aikido in Skopje. After visiting each of the two, he doesn't join any of them. He continuous to train and visits all seminars that he is able to in the neighboring states.
In 2003 he becomes a member of the Aikido federation of Serbia and Montenegro - Aikikai SCG, in order to have the opportunity to be examined for kyu degrees in a recognized organization by Aikikai Foundation in Japan. He is examined for all degrees by Michele Quaranta sensei who holds seminars in Serbia and Macedonia on regular bases. He holds the rank of 1st Dan now.
In September 2005 together with a group of enthusiasts he decides to open a dojo of his own at which he can practice and promote aikido in an organized way. And so, Henbo aikido dojo is created.
